"The Kouhai and the Lone Wolf Senpai" is the first part of Chapter 1 of the Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! manga. It introduces title character of Hana Uzaki and her high school (now college) senpai, Shinichi Sakurai.
Synopsis[]
20-year old, 3rd-year college student Shinichi Sakurai is getting out of class. With no work that afternoon, his time was his own to enjoy a little peace and quiet. However, that peace and quiet has recently been shattered by the reappearance of his high school kohai: 19-year-old, 2nd-year student Hana Uzaki, who is determined to hang out with him. She decries his "lone wolf" lifestyle, endeavoring to get him to open up. Sakurai, on the other hand, just wants Uzaki to leave him alone.
Despite having friends of her own, Uzaki is determined to spend time with him: walking with him, going to do different things after class. Eventually, she takes up most of his week. She pesters him, trying to get him to go do something social with her, but his lone wolf attitude prevails. It is only after she embarrasses him with poor phrasing in public that he relents, inviting her to tag along with him.
